RIVER FESTIVAL

22-24 January, 2005 - Wellington Anniversary Weekend. Kimberley Reserve, Levin.

Imagine an idyllic rural setting surrounded by native trees and flanked by a river with beautiful swimming holes, well removed from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

COME FOR A WEEKEND OF ORGANIC LIFESTYLE, ENTERTAINMENT, INSPIRATION AND RELAXATION.

It's all on for another feel good festival.

EXPLORE - Safe swimming holes, comfortable camping, alternative new sustainable technology, workshops, the arts, quality stalls, organic wine, beer and food marquee, continuous live music.

REJUVENATE - The Festival is a place to relax, chill-out, recharge and check out the latest in alternatives, spirituality & organics. Swim and sunbathe. Walk in the forest. 30 hours of top NZ sound. Health and Spirit marquee.

DISCOVER - The main theme for the 5th festival is ORGANIC FOOD. Taste the organic meals and snacks in the new lay-out food marquee. Come and see the practical and economical, efficient, and innovate ways to produce energy, and live in a sustainable way. Workshops by the river in the solar powered marquee.

Campsites - (Hot showers and flush toilets). Weekend camping - The campsite is now a restricted area so as to keep the prices down for families. $45 adults, $5 under 18, -(must be with adult family, ID essentual). - This price is regardless of whether you stay 1 or 3 nights. Campers cars in the top car park (all night security) and are not permitted in the camping area. A shuttle service will be available. No alcohol or glass (campsite security). Arrive on Friday and get into wonderful environment of the festival. Evening entertainment in the marquee.

Daily admission - $10 - $2 if under 18. Free shuttle or enjoy a short bush walk (700m) to the site. Gates open 10am close 4pm. Daily visitors (without campers armbands) must vacate by 6pm.

What is ORGANIC ?
Living cells and organisms grow and respond to a changing environment. We are part of this creativity. Wonderful things manifest when you are in tune with this ebb and flow. Organics is the understanding of this finely tuned structure be it an expression of the arts, healing, business or garden.

The Organic River Festival is an annual event run by - EFECT the Eco Fest Educational Charitable Trust, raising environmental awareness.
