Organic River Festival 2005
The overall focus of the organics festival this year is organic food and the music will reflect this commitment. The flavour of this year's entertainment is naturally pure and organic. No preservatives or fake additives, it will be a unique and delicious variety of quality original and home grown entertainment 'hand picked' to help invigorate, subtly spice, soothe and enhance this fabulous and exceptional celebration throughout the weekend.
The line up for 2005 is an eclectic mix as usual, festival mainstays like 'Sika
and Caitlin' appearing as essential ingredients selected expertly, with new,
original, local and organic jazz, rock, alt-country, gypsy classical and beyond…
blended with indefinable and fabulous varieties of music and performance. All
these elements have been combined to produce a 'slow roasted', juicy smorgasbord
of delectable entertainment to be tasted and digested throughout the duration
of the festival.
The diversity of music and entertainment includes something for everyone, ever mindful of the diverse tastes and needs of 'festival-goers', there will be a variety of entertainment; including jugglers, drum circles, fire tamers, buskers and children's entertainment Acts that involve everyone and espouse the central theme of our festival, celebrating our local community, our spirit and our commitment to celebrating organics. Totally inspired by the awesome natural surroundings, entertainment will be everywhere during the course of this event providing thought provoking, funny and impromptu tidbits sprinkling colour and flavour.
The advent of a second stage for music and entertainment as part of the food marquee will be used alternately with the open-air stage. The marquee stage will give everyone the opportunity to celebrate, participate and revel in the surroundings during 'main food events'. This marquee stage will be a veritable banquette of mouthwatering acts to totally compliment the gastronomic delights presented by the food people.
This year's festival will hopefully be a discovery of many things organic and beautiful for all. The music will be an integral component in this experience and along side the exceptional food, is to be sampled, relished and savored during the course of this fabulous weekend.
